5All hail Amy's!!Jan 12, 2008
By K. Swanson
I have pretty much been living on Amy's food for about 8 years now, when I can't eat fresh or am too lazy to cook from scratch. The Berliner family (Amy's Mom and Dad) has done the world a major service in proving that frozen and canned food can be truly healthy. (Please stay private! Going public and thinking mainly of profits will ruin the food, no doubt.)

Their pesto pizza is so good it's ridiculous. I've eaten about a thousand of those, maybe two. All their products are hand-made from organic ingredients, and the prices are more than fair considering the quality.

I love Thai food, especially Tom Kha and green curry (hint hint, Miss Amy!). This soup holds up well to some of the better TKs I've had in good Thai restaurants. It is spicy but not overwhelming, creamy but not too thick, and in general simply dang yummy!! Easily the best canned Thai soup I've ever had (except for Satay soups, made by Austin's wonderful Foo Swasdee, but sadly her canned food biz stopped a while back (her restaurants are still here, though, and still great. Foo is a wonderful lady!)).

Good Thai chow is almost everything I want from food: nutritious and healthy and extremely tasty, with many flavors complementing but not overwhelming each other. This soup is all that.

And as always with organic food, by buying this not only are you getting the healthiest food, you're helping support people who care about the health of our planet, and not supporting people who don't.
Many thanks to the Berliner family for making the best pre-packaged food on the planet.

I could live on this stuff.

Wait...I do...

5Best canned veggie soup everMay 06, 2007
By J. Elliott "book raven"
I have to say this is the best canned soup I have ever eaten. The fact that it is organic with no yucky processed stuff makes me even happier. You don't have to season this soup, at least I don't, it tastes great just heated out of the can. It flies off the organic foods shelf at my local grocery and this 12 pack is the only way to keep it in the pantry. I seldom find anything I am this happy about so try it you will love it!

4Good, but...Jan 04, 2008

This soup isn't your traditional pea soup. I expected this to be a thick, rich, pea flavored soup. It is not. It is rather thin and the onion taste is stronger than the split pea taste. As a soup, it is very tasty, nice texture and very healthy. Do not buy this soup expecting a thick pea soup, just expect a tasty soup, which is what it is. Amy's doesn't make anything that is "bad". Good soup, not pea though.

5Another winner from Amy'sJun 19, 2007

In a world where canned chili is usually filled with fat, salt, and preservatives, Amy's chili is a welcome relief to those of us who are trying to eat healthier. Chili is a favorite in our family but I can't seem to make it very well for some reason. It's just not my forté. However, other commercially-made chilis are so very high in sodium and fat that we just had to go without chili for a while. When we tried this, we weren't sure what to expect.

The results were delicious! It's just the right amount of spicy, you don't miss the salt, and it's bursting with flavor. This chili is even good straight-out-of-the-can so if you live in a hurricane area, this is a must for your hurricane kit. I highly recommend this for chili-lovers who are trying to have a healthier diet.

5Old Fashioned Comfort FoodFeb 02, 2008
By Colleen Whalen "Tiger Lilly"
I bought 2 dozen cans when it was on sale at my local natural food store. I wound up eating it every single day for 24 days in a row! It is very creamy with tons of chunks of mushroom soup. I also chop up some fresh mushrooms, parsely and a little garlic to "pump it up". The soup is just fine as it is from the can, but what can I say but that I am totally addicted to mushrooms since they are very low calorie, high in fiber and are a good source of Vitamin B! The soup has quite a high ratio of little mushroom bits, but I like to add some of my own fresh mushrooms to add to the texture.

On a cold winter day it makes a great "comfort food" Reminds me of homemade soup - very healthy ingredients. This is a stape in my house and I order it regularly through Amazons "Super Saver" - can't beat this deal, 15% DISCOUNT plus free shipping - why bother to go to the market when it can be delivered to your door?

Although the directions on the can say to add milk or cream it isn't at all necessary. The soup in the can is really creamy already.

I like to eat this soup with some whole wheat toast. This makes a nice little healthy snack.
